OBS Tutorial: Broadcasting SWAG Live on Desktop with OBS

1. Preparation

 ・Download OBS with this OBS download link, and install on your computer.

 ・Login with your SWAG Creator account on SWAG website, and follow the steps below to go live with OBS.

2. OBS livestream setup tutorial

2-1. Use a web browser to open the following URL: https://swag.live . And after logging into your SWAG creator account, click on the "+", "Go live" buttons.

*Note: Only creator accounts are eligible for live streaming.

2-2. Copy the "Server and Stream Key" from OBS settings to OBS - Settings - Stream.

*Please adjust the parameters according to the instructions in the following diagram.


*Read the information below to help you adjust OBS settings.

  • The live stream delay depends on your network environment.

  • Encoding parameters: H.264 video encoding and AAC audio encoding.

  • Aspect ratio: Supports 4:3, 16:9, or 9:16.

  • Resolution: Video resolution supports 240P to 720P.

  • Frame rate: 30fps.

  • Bitrate: Supports a maximum of 2.5 Mbps (2,500 Kbps) for video and 192 Kbps for audio. If the livestream still cannot be pushed successfully, please reduce the bitrate.

  • Rate Control: It is recommended to use Constant Bitrate (CBR).

  • Keyframe interval: It is recommended to set it at 1 second.

  • Max B-frames:It is recommended to set it at 0.

  • H.264 compression ratio: It is recommended to choose Main or High compression ratio, or choose baseline compression ratio.

2-3. Click on "Start Stream" on the SWAG side first, and then click on "Start Stream" on the OBS side. Please note that the order should not be reversed.

2-4. To end the live stream, click the 'X' in the top right corner of the SWAG interface to close the SWAG streaming, and then go back to OBS and click the "Stop Streaming" button to end the OBS livestream.
