The 2025 Best Newcomer rankings brought together a true lineup of breakout stars. In their very first year on the platform, these rising creators quickly gained traction through distinctive styles and strong audience buzz. Taking first place was fan-recognized “One-on-One Goddess” Xiao Yao Jing (@yizhiniao). In public streams, she presents herself as a sweet, non-explicit girl-next-door; but in private one-on-one sessions, she seamlessly shifts into a more daring, wish-fulfillment mode. This striking contrast between innocence and boldness has fueled her rapid rise and an intensely loyal following. Second place went to fitness creator Ruan (@ruan.ccc), who rose to fame after a headline-making appearance at Taipei Dome. With her bright, healthy image and athletic physique, her popularity skyrocketed—drawing international fans who even traveled to Berlin to experience her live presence firsthand. Claiming third place was Xiao Yao (@xiaoyi_ling), a tall, model-type newcomer known for cosplay and romance-style interactions. Top 5 Rising Green Creators of 2025
2025 marked the rise of green streaming on the platform. Creators centered on talent and interaction distinguished themselves in a highly competitive landscape and earned international recognition. Leading the green streaming movement in 2025 was Sandra (@bbb.36.2001), a bilingual host known for her witty, upbeat livestream style and strong vocal performance, which helped her build an exceptionally loyal core fanbase. She was followed by Yunbao (@yunbaobao301), whose sweet, doll-like image and candid personality resonated with fans through singing and casual chat streams, and Ruan (@ruan.ccc), a fitness-focused creator celebrated for her healthy, approachable, and sunshine-like presence. Top Search Keywords of 2025
Among SWAG’s Top 15 most-searched keywords in 2025, Kimmy and former military counselor Neinei claimed the top two positions, highlighting their strong influence on the platform. Kimmy’s search volume saw notable growth this year, largely driven by off-platform exposure translating into increased on-platform interest.

Neinei, widely known as the “Former Army Counselor,” continued her status as a consistent top performer in search rankings. Beyond her established public profile, she took on a more prominent public role this year as SWAG’s Ambassador for the Prevention of Digital Sexual Violence, actively engaging with universities to promote digital safety awareness. These initiatives helped maintain steady and highly engaged search traffic. Several well-known Taiwanese internet figures—including Holger Chen, Tongshen, and Chen Yi—continued to generate strong interest, ranking 3rd, 7th, and 10th among the year’s top search keywords. Meanwhile, creator Aiyo saw a rapid rise in search interest following her Japan debut in October, securing the 12th spot.
Most-Watched Livestreams of the 2025
Figure 6. Tongshen’s debut livestream claimed the title of 2025’s top-viewed broadcast.
Tongshen claimed the title of 2025’s most-watched livestream without dispute. After officially joining SWAG in July, his debut broadcast immediately went viral following a game-related penalty challenge, sparking widespread discussion across Taiwan. The livestream peaked at 3.3K concurrent viewers, while related short-form videos surpassed 1.65 million views. Media coverage and online discussions exceeded 10,000 mentions within a single week, making it the platform’s most explosive traffic event of the year. Beyond setting the highest viewership record of 2025, the broadcast also reinforced a core insight of the platform: high-profile personalities drive disproportionate attention and traffic. Tongshen stands out as the most representative crossover case on SWAG this year.
Platform Insights & User Behavior
Global User Daily Watch Time
In 2025, user engagement on SWAG reached a new high. Average daily watch time across the platform increased to 16 minutes and 48 seconds, up 3 minutes and 23 seconds year-over-year, indicating that users are spending significantly more time watching, exploring, and interacting as a result of greater content diversity and upgrades to the recommendation system.
Figure 7. Japan emerged as the year’s biggest breakout market, rising to second place in average watch time.
Looking at performance across the top 10 core markets, 🇹🇼Taiwan continued to lead the rankings with users spending an average of 19 minutes per day, well above the global average. The biggest surprise of the year, however, came from 🇯🇵Japan. After ranking near the bottom last year, Japan surged to become the second most engaged market, with a year-over-year increase of 6 minutes and 11 seconds—the largest growth among all countries. This rebound is believed to be driven by an increase in the number of Japanese creators and greater diversity in creator styles, which in turn boosted user engagement. On the other end of the spectrum, 🇲🇴Macau recorded the lowest average watch time among markets this year.
One-on-One Livestreaming:Key Insights
Since the launch of SWAG’s one-on-one livestreaming feature at the end of last year, user behavior on the platform has shifted noticeably. Designed around personalized performances and uninterrupted, private interaction, one-on-one sessions create a distinctly different experience from traditional public streams. For creators, one-on-one livestreaming offers the opportunity to be fully seen and engaged with, significantly strengthening fan intimacy and loyalty. For users, it delivers a premium, personalized experience that fulfills the desire for direct attention and real-time response.
Figure 8. Vietnamese creator janbebe ranked first in one-on-one earnings in 2025.
The data clearly reflects this shift. Users are 18 times more likely to send virtual gifts in one-on-one sessions than in public livestreams, highlighting the much stronger emotional connection and willingness to pay generated by private interactions. In 2025, the top performer in one-on-one earnings was Vietnamese creator janbebe, who accumulated 15 million diamonds (approximately NT$1 million) through one-on-one sessions alone, excluding additional gift revenue—making her one of the most outstanding creators in the one-on-one market this year.
Guaranteed Earnings Program for Creators
In 2025, SWAG’s Guaranteed Earnings Program continued to stand out as one of the most attractive high–hourly-rate part-time opportunities for the new generation of creators. Based on a flexible two-hour scheduling model, creators can freely arrange their streaming hours while gaining access to professionally equipped studios, lighting setups, on-site directing support, and online talent management resources—allowing livestreaming to become a work model where creators can express themselves while earning income.
Figure 9.Creators in the Guaranteed Earnings Program can earn up to NT$1,500 per hour.
A total of 730 creators participated in the program this year. According to platform data, 17.4% of participating creators earned over NT$50,000 per month, 4.6% surpassed NT$100,000, and 1.4% achieved monthly earnings exceeding NT$200,000. Overall, nearly one in five creators recorded an average monthly income above NT$50,000 through the program. Many creators achieved strong performance by leveraging their personal style and creative interactions—ranging from light physical challenges to casual conversation and companionship-driven content. Hourly guaranteed pay starts at NT$1,000 and can reach up to NT$1,500, with top performers also eligible for additional diamond-based revenue sharing, allowing earnings potential with no fixed upper limit.
Recommendation System Evolution
In 2025, SWAG’s content ecosystem underwent a noticeable shift, driven primarily by a major upgrade to its recommendation system. The new algorithm no longer relies solely on popular tags or overall traffic volume. Instead, it analyzes multiple signals—including user behavior patterns, creator performance, and interaction intensity—to more accurately understand individual preferences and deliver the right creators to the right users more efficiently.
Figure 10. Algorithm-powered matchmaking: helping users find the creators that truly resonate with them.
The impact of this upgrade was immediately reflected in platform metrics. Click-through rates on recommendation pages increased by 2–3%, average watch time rose by 4–6%, and content conversion rates improved by 5–7%. Users were able to discover content they enjoyed more quickly, resulting in a noticeably improved viewing experience. Creators also benefited from healthier growth across the ecosystem. Organic exposure for new creators increased by 20–30%, while recommendation reach for mid-tier creators expanded by 15–25%. As a result, platform content is no longer dominated by a small number of mainstream styles, but has evolved toward a more diverse, balanced, and sustainable creator ecosystem.
